Why don’t people have insurance?
If 25 to 30 million legal citizens do not have insurance.
Do you reckon that they are all low lifes?
Are they all just irresponsible people?
Or are they mostly people that have pre-exisisting conditions or can’t afford insurance. Most all the ones that I’ve met are in this category.
They go to local clinics or pay their hospital bills at rates double insurance or medicare rates. When the government says that they will help them get insurance, then why should they believe them. They don’t get help on anything else, so the government doesn’t consider them poor. They couldn’t afford the insurance before and really find their medical costs to be far below the expensive insurance tat they would need to buy.
The Dems want to place in a plot with a trust me smile on what the cost will be.
Why does the media call them illegals and free riders? This is an area that the politicians just want to pass over during discussions. The hospitals don’t say. Oh yeah man, do we screw those people that really have to pay. We get them for double the price.
Is the real goal just to get health care for illegals? We will still have to pay for them. We can’t fine them, because they don’t file. All of those costs will still be there.
Well most of you didn’t read the question because I said LEGAL citizens. So you went on your rants of illegals again.
If you see what your cash discount gets you then (although helpful) it is still more than medicare or huge insurance pays them.
Most of the responses are Obama type canned responses that do not represent the uninsured LEGAL citizens.
Recent Case of a friend: Hysterectomy. First cost estimates $45000 (she was uninsured). Negotiated to about $25000. A large insurance company would pay about $17000.
She PAID for it. Get it! People do pay thier bills.
I should add that she had this as a pre-exist and could not get insurance
