Why do people with jobs and excellent health insurance have to be punished to cover all?

I have brilliant health coverage. I also work very hard. There is no doubt in my mind that if Obamas plot passes I will lose my current insurance carrier. If there is a cheaper gov’t option that promises the same coverage then my current HMO will not be able to survive(HMO’s cannot compete when the competition can print money or raise taxes for funds). Why am I being punished so we can cover all – most who are currently eligible for insurance but choose not to be insured? Are the lib’s with excellent coverage willing to lose it and go to the Obama gov’t plot?
When I lose my job I exercise my COBRA benefits until I find another job.. If I do not find another job – then I am out of luck..
