I don’t know what’s so terrible about having a government health care plot that would provide competition to the private insurance industry? In my state there are only three health care providers and they all jack up the rates every year. This raise in rates is far outpacing inflation, and I don’t know how much longer I can afford it.
I just want to know why having a public option is such a horrible thing in the eyes of so many. At the rate these private companies raise their premiums, soon only the rich and upper middle class will be able to afford them!
OK lucid, I see what you’re saying but the current system we have is already killing the middle class. I just reckon these private companies need to be held responsible, I personally know people who have been DENIED claims even though they hold up their end of the deal and pay the premiums! And the premiums themselves are so ridiculous that the middle class won’t be able to afford them at the rate they are rising.
