I have MS and have not been able to find real health insurance. My state health pool will cover me but at $1300/mo. I’ve heard from a lot of discount plans and indemnity providers but am worried of these. Any one out there have any thoughts? Thanks!

Will citizens of states planning on opting out of the public option be heard?

If a state elects to opt out of the public option in the new health care bill will the states have to put the opt out option to a vote or will the decision be made by state officials; the governor, state health representatives, or who? The public option will give people an opportunity to buy insurance at a reasonable cost while still allowing those who prefer bigger better policies the option to buy what they want. If the state opts out they take the option away from the people who need the insurance the most. Would anyone other than select state officials benefit any by the state opting out of the public option?
