I have a question about getting the IUD/Birth Control Pills? 18 but still live with Parents with Insurance?

My boyfriend and I are sexually active. And we always use a condom, but I want to go on the pill or get an IUD just to be extra careful.

I’m 18 and my parents have health insurance so I am under their plan. I was wondering; if I were to go to my doctor and discuss getting the IUD or getting the Pill and he were to give me a prescription; would it show up somewhere, where my parents will see? (Like on a statement, bill, etc)

So essentially: I’m covered under my parents insurance, but can I get IUD or Birth Control Pills without my parents finding out?

And please no answers like “You are to young” “Abstinence is the way to go..” Things like that. I just want clear straightforward answers. It’s my life not yours.

Im 16 years old. I will be getting my high school diploma in may of 2010. I will still be 16 when i graduate and im planning to move out with my boyfriend ( age 18)…. in the Summer probably August of 2010. And i will still be 16.
