parents, how often do you have health insurance claims for your children that are healthy in overall?
For some reason my husband’s ex – who works in the medical field – is not able to get health insurance for their children any longer, and he had to put his children on ours – his. He has a good plan, and we never ran out of coverage. I have noticed that they seem to have claims like almost every week. I find it a little strange, it’s anything from physio therapy to braces, pills, etc. I have just never seen anyone submitting so many claims. She is notorious to ask for extras beyond the child support, I am suspicious that she is doing this on purpose, too, to take as much as she can.
I don’t want us to be left without coverage because they use ours all up.

Should we move back in with my parents? Help! Please! : )?
Both of us are working adults that have been working multiple jobs (steady fulltime) and going to college part time. We graduated with bachelor’s degrees (after 7 years going year round) this spring. I got a slightly higher paying job, but he has applied to 40+ jobs and has been turned down (due to the economy). He pays child support (children from a previous marriage) and health insurance (all of us) so most of his money never makes it to his paycheck. Also, due to the economy he is no longer able to get any overtime. Our financial aid covered our rent. I had planned to get a Master’s degree and our rent would have been covered via loans but, the tuition is too high. We have applied for many evening and weekend part-time jobs but we can’t get hired!
We do have a lot of bills to pay. Loans are in deferment. Two family house is also up for sale!
Should I borrow against my retirement for two to four more months of rent (and $100+ will be deducted from my paycheck every paycheck for several years) or do we move back in with my parents (small house but we lived there six years ago)?
Thanks so much for your responses. I feel lost and need some advice bad.

What happens at a child support hearing in Massachusetts?
**When you answer this, please take everything that I have said into consideration.
I have a child support hearing next week and I’m wondering what exactly happens. Currently, myself and my son’s father share custody of him however; There is no court for custody. It is just something that we agreed on. First question, do they discuss custody at this hearing as well? I heard it was a completely separate case but my son’s father seems to think otherwise. Second question, I currently carry my son’s health insurance. Myself and my son’s fatehr agree that we want it to stay this way because it’s less expensive through me and we want him to be able to keep the same doctors and going through his father’s insurance is in a different state. We would like the cost of his health insurance to be paid by his father to me. Do you think they the court will grant us this because we both agree on it? Third question, do I need a lawyer? I wasn’t planning on getting one. Last question, what do I need to bring? How many paystubs? Do I need proof of expenses as well or just the worksheet that DOR sent to me?
Thanks!!
