Health Insurance: Young adult looking for reasonable coverage. Dental, Eyes, Prescription, etc.?
I live in Ontario Canada, and do have OHIP. But I’m 22, and last year my health coverage under my parents plot expired. I’m looking to know where to start looking for my own coverage, as I receive nothing from work. I need information such as,
-What companies are worth looking at
-What I can expect from basic plans
-How much I can expect to pay for it
-If there is a way to negotiate fees
Certain things that I personally need covered are dental care, eye checkups and glasses/contacts, and varying prescriptions that could arise if I get ill.
Any and all links, advice, and pointers are appreciated.
Thanks!
