Health insurance Deductible and out of pocket…?

Ok i have to get health insurance from the my job( i have to get the cheapest b/c i dont get paid much to nothing) but im not really understanding it.

the type of plot i choose was
$2200 deductible and 5000 out of pocket..

what is deductible? does this mean i have to pay $2200 before i get the insurance or use it.what the 5000 out of pocket mean???

I have no clue.. can someone please clarify this to me.. thanks
