I am a volunteer firefighter and am going back to school. I work for myself so i’m on my wifes health insurance which is costing us upwards of $500 a month. Are there any companies that offer individual health insurance plans for volunteer firefighters that wouldnt cost us an arm and a leg? I know there are a ton of disability type insurances but I havent found any for just regular health insurance to cover doctors and prescription insurances and stuff. Any help would be appreciated.
