Advice please on a pregnancy problem?
My son told me that his GF is pregnant. He is 26 and she is 30. Last year she wanted to marry him and he said no. So she went back to her ex-BF but he became the friend with privileges. He re-fell in like with her and went out and bought her a gorgeous 1.35 carat diamond engagement ring. The day he plotted to propose she came to him to say she is pregnant and she is nearly 100% sure it is his. He proposed with the ring and she turned him down. She said that her (now ) BF knows it may be my son’s but wants to be with her (but he keeps cheating on her and she knows it and she still returns to him). My son is heartbroken and wants to be with her. She tells him she likes them both. But he is also smart enough to have a paternity test. In fact the both guys will pay for it. She has not told her mother and she is now 12 weeks along. She is no kid. She is 30. My son is hoping that as her belly grows when the guy dumps her as he has in the past she will gain senses and go to him. I am mad that he feels he is excellent enough to be “plot B”. He is bright, a teacher with a fantastic future and can pay for the health insurance for a wife and child- but she wants to be with Mr. Unemployed who abuses her. If you question me I reckon my son should do what is right and support the child if the paternity test shows it is his and go on and let her know his proposal of marriage has an expiration date but he wont. I also reckon her mother who is a pastor when finds out her daughter is pregnant will knock some sense into her daughter..but the mom doesnt know. As for me I am so tempted to call the mother and say your daughter is pregnant and saying it is my son’s (but my son has begged me not to). I know that it is his problem and respect that but I am looking for others thoughts please rather than :its his life:
